An Android Trojan distributed via various applications (for example, games) modified by cybercriminals. The main purpose of Android.Poder.1 is to generate income for its creators by displaying annoying advertisements and prompting users to pay for access to some features, which are originally provided free of charge, of the compromised application.
The Trojan gathers confidential data, such as browsing history and information on bookmarks, and sends it to the command and control server. Moreover, some modifications of Android.Poder.1 can send SMS messages with a link to download the Trojan's copy to all numbers from the contact list. The text from such messages looks as follows: “a fun game，^_^ http://goo.gl/O****v”.
