Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
- file extensions
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced /v HideFileExt /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced /v Hidden /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c ""%TEMP%\init.bat" "
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\init.bat
