A Trojan for Android devices that targets Indian users. It can be incorporated into different applications distributed through popular sites. Once Android.Biggboss is installed on the device, it launches every time the system is booted displaying the dialogue window that informs the user that they have received an important message from some HR department titled as follows: “Important incoming email from HR, do the needful”. If the user agrees to view the message, the Trojan opens a special web page in the browser window demonstrating an image with the message from the HR department of “TATA India Limited” that has nothing to do with the real “TATA” corporation and its affiliated companies. In addition to the exciting description of the potential position, the message offers the recipient to transfer 8,150 rupees to the cybercriminals’ bank account. This should guarantee the candidate that they get the promised position.
