To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'WindowsApplication1' = '%HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\WindowsApplication1.exe'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\WindowsApplication1.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\System.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\<Virus name>.exe'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\<Virus name>.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\System.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\System.exe
- %TEMP%\<Virus name>.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\System.exe
Deletes itself.
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
