To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] '' = '%WINDIR%\Framework Services.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\update.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\net1.exe stop SharedAccess
- <SYSTEM32>\net.exe stop SharedAccess
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\update.exe
- %WINDIR%\Framework Services.exe
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Internet Explorer\MS Office.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\update.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\update.exe
- %WINDIR%\Framework Services.exe
- %PROGRAM_FILES%\Internet Explorer\MS Office.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
