- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'a84becfe5c2afbaaf5e2f4608483cf58' = '"%APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe" ..'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\a84becfe5c2afbaaf5e2f4608483cf58.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\a84becfe5c2afbaaf5e2f4608483cf58.exe
Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe' = '%APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe:*:Enabled:Dllhost.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\schtasks.exe' /create /sc minute /mo 1 /tn server /tr %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temp/server.exe
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe" "Dllhost.exe" ENABLE
- '%APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe'
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\server.exe
- %APPDATA%\Dllhost.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\a84becfe5c2afbaaf5e2f4608483cf58.exe
